The S.S. Meteor Original 1200 Horsepower Triple-expansion Steam Engine.

McDougall's whaleback #136 has seen many changes from the time she was launched as the ore carrier Frank Rockefeller to her last working days as the oil tanker Meteor. Through it all, the ship's original 1200 horsepower triple-expansion steam engine has kept plugging along and it still starts. Today the 1896 engine can be turned over electrically for visitors to see and hear.
